Shanghai Airlines selects Pratt & Whitney engines to power new Boeing aircraft

Shanghai Airlines has selected Pratt & Whitney PW2037 engines to power its five new Boeing 757 passenger aircraft.
The Chinese carrier has recently placed an order with US aircraft manufacturer Boeing for the five new aircraft. Three of the aircraft are scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2004 while the other two are expected to be delivered in the spring of 2005.
The sale of the ten engines is worth approximately USD80m at list prices to Pratt & Whitney.
