AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Air Canada has announced plans to expand its services to Cuba. The carrier is planning to introduce new routes, including nonstop flights from Toronto to Havana three times per week, this winter to offer a total of 25 scheduled flights weekly from across the country to various destinations on the Caribbean island.

On 1 November 2003, Continental Airlines will launch a daily nonstop service linking New York with Huntsville, Ala. and Tulsa, Okla. Continental Express, the airline's regional carrier, will operate two daily round trip flights between Newark Liberty International Airport and Huntsville, and one daily flight between New York and Tulsa, using Embraer regional jet aircraft.

US Airways will begin a seasonal weekend round trip service to Vail from both Charlotte, N.C. and Philadelphia. The services, which run between 20 December 2003 and 4 April 2004, and will be served by 193-seat Boeing 757 aircraft. Flights between Vail and Charlotte will run on Saturdays, while flights on the Philadelphia-Vail service will operate each Saturday and Sunday.
