Taiwanese carrier EVA Airways will buy eight Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, confirming USD1.49bn in options for the aircraft.
The new aircraft will reportedly join seven other Boeing 777 aircraft which the carrier ordered in 2000. The aircraft will replace some of the Boeing 747-400 aircraft that the airline plans to retire, and they are also expected to cut operating costs.
EVA Airways will begin taking delivery of the aircraft in mid-2005, reported Reuters.
