Emirates Airlines plans to increase aircraft fleet

Emirates Airlines is reportedly planning to have a fleet of 100 aircraft by 2010.
The Dubai-based airline currently has a fleet of 66 aircraft, and is scheduled to take delivery of four long-range Airbus A340-500 aircraft in December this year. The new Airbus A340-500 aircraft will enable frequent nonstop operations from Dubai to Sydney, Osaka and the US.
The airline has also added Glasgow and Shanghai to its list of global destinations, and plans services to Vienna in May and New York by June.
