Air France and KLM to launch share swap

Air France is expected to launch its agreed takeover offer for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines today (5 April).
The share swap agreement - which was initially due to start on 22 March - will see Air France swap 11 shares for every 10 KLM shares.
Air France and KLM are scheduled to merge in September 2004, in a deal which would form the world's largest global airline, reported The Associated Press.
