Toronto opens new terminal at Pearson airport

Toronto has opened one of the world's most expensive airport terminals at Pearson International Airport.
The new terminal - costing CAD3.6bn - is the first stage of an overall redevelopment project for the airport. Under the project, Terminal 1 will eventually expand to take over the functions of two existing terminals, which will be demolished.
The plan will double the capacity of the airport by 2015 from its current capacity of 25m passengers annually, reported Reuters.
