The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce will seek a way to retain Aerogold credit card clients should the Aeroplan loyalty programme be cancelled by Air Canada.
For the past several years, CIBC has offered an Aerogold Visa which is linked to Air Canada's Aeroplan frequent flyer loyalty programme. The company issues cardholders with one Aeroplan point for each dollar they spend with the card, and the points can then be redeemed for airline tickets.
Air Canada has not revealed any plans to end its loyalty programme, reported Reuters.
