ATA Holdings Corp divests ATA Training Corp

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
ATA Holdings Corp, the parent company of ATA Airlines, is to sell its subsidiary ATA Training Corp (ATATC) to the Aviation Institute of Maintenance, headquartered in Virginia Beach, Va.
ATATC operates ATA Training Academy, which educates and prepares students for careers as certified aircraft technicians. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.
The divestment was said to allow ATA to focus on its core business as a passenger airline.
