China Southern Airlines signs agreement for 21 Airbus aircraft

China Southern Airlines has signed an agreement with European aircraft maker Airbus for a total of 21 Airbus aircraft.

Specifically, the Chinese airline will buy 15 A320-200s and six A319-100s which are scheduled for delivery in 2005 and 2006.

Financial terms were not disclosed but the deal is reported to be worth up to USD1.3bn.

China Southern Airlines currently operates a fleet of 125 mostly Boeing aircraft, reported The Associated Press.
