KLM, the Dutch airline which operates in alliance with Air France, has raised ticket prices by 1-3% after a rise in passenger loads and bookings.
The price rise will come into effect on 17 August 2004 and according to a spokesperson the increase is not the result of rising oil prices.
Other airlines will probably welcome the news after the intense competition of the last few years has seen fares and profits fall in the face of intense competition and rising costs, reports Reuters.
