Scandinavian airline SAS said on Thursday (19 August) that it would open eight new routes from Copenhagen, Denmark.

The new routes were opened as a result of an agreement with SAS and the airline Cimber Air, which would fly the routes for SAS.

Six destinations in UK (Newcastle), Scotland (Aberdeen), Poland (Szczecin), Lithuania (Kleipeda), France (Lyon) and Sweden (Vesteras) were already decided, while two routes were still open, according to the company.

SAS said that the opening of Vesteras as a destination was on the condition that SAS could achieve the same prices for using the airport as other operators.
