A charter flight was delayed on Monday (23 August) after the pilot was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.

The Finnair pilot, who was loaned to Air Scandic, was asked to give a blood sample and a replacement pilot for the Boeing 757 aircraft had to be found. The result of the blood test is not yet known.

The flight, from Manchester, England to Dalaman, Turkey, departed after a delay of almost six hours.

Finnair had leased the aircraft and crew to Air Scandic.
