IATA signs product agreement with Space Imaging

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has signed an exclusive agreement with satellite services and products firm Space Imaging to sell a new range of aviation geospatial products.
The new products include satellite images of airports which show ground obstacles, terrain and obstacle databases, airport mapping databases and flight training aids aimed at improving aviation safety.
The new products were produced by Space Imaging using its IKONOS satellite along with the Indian Remote Sensing (IRS) and Landsat satellites. IATA will market and sell the products under the IATA brand.
