China Southern Airlines enters agreement on joining SkyTeam alliance

China Southern Airlines has entered into a preliminary agreement to join the SkyTeam airline alliance.
Under an agreement signed by representatives of the alliance and the Chinese airline, China Southern will undertake exclusive discussions to become part of the SkyTeam alliance, pending fulfilment of the joining requirements.
China Southern Airlines already has links with three SkyTeam member airlines, Air France, Delta Air Lines and Korean Air, and also has a relationship with soon-to-be member KLM on both passenger and cargo services.
