British Airways has cancelled a further six flights due to technical and staff shortage problems suffered at the end of August 2004.
The flights are all return trips from Heathrow Airport to New York, Brussels and Zurich. The airline cancelled more than 100 flights between 21 and 27 August 2004 due to a mix of staff shortages and problems with aircraft.
An investigation into the problems has begun and the results will be presented to the airline's board on 17 September 2004. Staff that helped cope with the crisis are to receive two free airline tickets to any British Airways destination as a reward, reports The Guardian.
