New Micronesian airline begins services

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Palau Micronesia Air launched its first flight on 7 August 2004 and will be offering services to the Philippines, Japan and Australia.
The new airline will operate a twice-weekly service from Koror, Micronesia to Manila, Philippines and will add routes to Tokyo, Japan and Darwin, Australia in the near future.
Filipino workers heading to the Pacific island will make up the majority of the airline's customers on its Manila route but it is also hoping to attract tourists, reports Agence France-Presse.
