New airport in Manzhouli, northern China

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

The airport in Manzhouli, a city in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, bordering Russia and Mongolia, opened on Wednesday (8 December).

The construction of Manzhouli Airport, covering 166,700 square metres, cost CNY158m (USD19m) and took about a year, reports Xinhua. The airport's runway is 2,400 metres long and 45 metres wide.
