The long wait for processing a visa at the United States Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, has reportedly slowed down the investigation into the Lion Air jet crash that killed at least 26 people in Surakarta, Central Java on 1 December.

The members of the National Transportation Safety Board (KNKT) had not yet received visas to take the aircraft's black box to the US for investigation, said the Indonesian Minister of Transportation.
