A concourse at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport was temporarily closed on Monday morning (13 December) after a suspicious package was found.

Flights on Concourse D were delayed for about an hour and 40 minutes after a strange package was found at 0800 in a newspaper vending box, an airport spokesperson said. The item was removed by a police bomb squad.

Officials claimed that nothing dangerous was found in the package, but did not specify its contents.
