Fraport, the operator of Germany's Frankfurt airport, reportedly plans to set up a joint venture with the air traffic control company Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS) once it is privatised.

The venture would offer control-tower services at airports in Germany and also abroad at a later time, a Fraport spokesperson said.

Fraport forecasts further growth in air travel next year, with worldwide traffic expected to increase 5% and European traffic increasing 4-4.5%, reports Reuters.
