Canadian airline WestJet Airlines has announced that it will be incorporating a CAD20 fuel surcharge into its advertised fares on routes between Canada and the US.

WestJet's CEO Clive Beddoe said that the airline decided to incorporate the fuel surcharge directly into its fares to simplify its air fares, making it easier for customers to know what they are paying on transborder flights.

The fuel surcharge, introduced because of the rising cost of oil, does not affect WestJet flights within Canada, reports StockWatch.
