Etihad orders five 777-300ERs

Abu Dhabi's Etihad Airways has confirmed an order for five Boeing 777-300ERs.

The 777-300ERs (Extended Range) are listed at about USD218m (EUR164m) each, but airlines usually negotiate discounts and the exact value of the contract has not been disclosed.

The aircraft, Etihad's first orders from Boeing, are to be delivered in late 2005. The first delivery is scheduled for October followed by two each in November and December.
