A fire erupted Tuesday in a baggage area of Charles de Gaulle airport, leading to evacuation of several hundred people but causing no injuries, airport officials said.

As a precaution, a section of Terminal 1 was evacuated and seven flights were transferred to other terminals, said a statement issued by Aeroports de Paris (ADP). After two hours the terminal was reopened.
