A Kuwait Airways passenger aircraft made an emergency landing at Karachi airport on Tuesday (21 December) after developing engine trouble, said a Pakistani official.
The Airbus A310 with 185 people on board, including crew, which had been bound for the Indian capital New Delhi from Kuwait City, landed at Karachi airport at 0909, after one of its engines failed. No one was injured and the Airbus was waiting in Karachi for a new engine, said a spokesperson for Pakistan's Civil Aviation Authority.
Kuwait Airways officials, who did not want to give their names, claim the flight had been diverted to Karachi because of bad weather and fog in New Delhi, reports the Associated Press.
