Japan Airlines has said that it may use Boeing's new 7E7 Dreamliner aircraft to replace its 36 Boeing 767 aircraft and 22 Airbus A300-600 aircraft.

A spokesperson for Japan Airlines said that it was considering acquiring 7E7 aircraft and that it would make an announcement as soon as a decision was made.

If the airline decided to make an order for 58 7E7s it would be worth USD7bn to Boeing, based on the aircraft's catalogue price, and also give the US aircraft manufacturer further dominance in the Japanese aviation market, reports Bloomberg.
