The Sri Lankan government has decided to allow the country's three privately owned domestic airlines to fly to international destinations, according to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

A spokesperson for the Sri Lankan CAA said that it was now working out the details that would allow Expo Air, Serendib and Lion Air to operate international flights.
