Singapore, Brunei and Thailand are set to sign a new air passenger traffic agreement that will liberalise airline traffic between the three countries.
The new deal - expected to be signed on 27 December 2004 - will formalise the rights that airlines from the three nations already have including unlimited passenger services on any route between the countries.
A spokesperson for the Singapore transport ministry said that it hopes the deal will spur similar agreements between countries in Southeast Asia and help develop the air industry in the region, reports The Associated Press.
