Delta Air Lines said on Thursday (23 December) that its flights were being affected by the severe winter weather across the Ohio Valley.

The airline was forced to operate a reduced schedule at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and other airports in the region, and said that it anticipated weather delays and cancellations to continue on Friday (24 December).

A spokesman stressed that Delta Air Lines was committed to returning its services safely back to normal and getting passengers to their holiday destinations.

Affected customers with bookings for Delta, Delta Connection or Delta-coded services can change their flight without penalty or additional fees if they rebook and travel by 12 January 2005.
