Amsterdam's Schiphol airport, the Netherlands, has started a self-service for boarding passengers.

The airport reportedly allows passengers with an electronic ticket to board without having to be checked in by boarding crews. According to Reuters, the service currently includes two gates and will be expanded to include all of the C pier by next summer. C pier is used mainly by Air France-KLM.

The service will also be available for airlines other than Air France-KLM at Schiphol, the airport said.
