A US federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by former TWA employees against American Airlines and the union representing the airline's flight attendants.
The former TWA workers were laid off when American Airlines cut thousands of jobs after the September 2001 terrorist attacks. American Airlines' parent company AMR Corp, which acquired TWA in 2001, had put TWA workers at the bottom of its seniority ladder.
The workers sued the airline in 2002, challenging the way that American Airlines and the Association of Professional Flight Attendants had decided the seniority issue, reports The Associated Press.
