First Virgin Atlantic flights to Sydney launched

Richard Branson, the chairman of Virgin Atlantic, today (8 December) launched the first Virgin Atlantic flights from London, UK to Sydney, Australia.

Branson reportedly said that he wants to break the hold on the route from British Airways and Qantas. He also said that the bookings for the Sydney-London flight, which includes a stopover in Hong Kong, were good, with January and February bookings looking extremely good, reported The Associated Press.
