French court orders liquidation of Air Littoral

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
A French court reportedly ordered the liquidation of bankrupt French regional carrier Air Littoral yesterday (17 February).
The commercial court ordered the liquidation after property and textile group Alain Dumenil, which had put together a rescue bid for the carrier, withdrew its bid.
Transport regulators had previously refused to renew the airline's licence for safety reasons causing the airline's 17 aircraft to be grounded since Friday (13 February).
