Commuter aircraft manufacturer Raytheon Aircraft has reportedly reworked its maintenance manual to address issues raised in the investigation of an aircraft that crashed in 2003.
In January 2003 a Beech 1900D turboprop aircraft operated by Air Midwest crashed at North Carolina's Charlotte-Douglas Airport, killing all 19 passengers and two crew members. The aircraft - operating as a US Airways Express carrier - is said to have never recovered from a steep takeoff angle. The aircraft stalled, rolled left and crashed into a maintenance hangar at the airport.
Raytheon Aircraft has now clarified instructions for maintaining the flight control system in the aircraft type, reported Reuters.
