The Italian prime minister does not foresee the full privatisation of Alitalia under the government's new restructuring plans for the carrier.
The government has reportedly drawn up its own recovery plan for the airline after Alitalia's proposals to cut costs by slashing jobs met fierce opposition from unions. However the plan does not envisage the privatisation of the airline.
The government is however looking at the possibility of private investors taking stakes, according to Reuters.
