AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Alaska Airlines is scheduled to begin a twice daily service from Seattle to Chicago from 26 April 2004. The route will be served by Boeing 737 aircraft. To launch the new service, the airline is offering an introductory fare of USD79 each way between the cities.

On 22 February 2004 SriLankan Airlines will begin a new service to Hyderabad, India. The airline is expected to offer flights between Colombo and Hyderabad every Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The route increases the number of Indian destinations served by the carrier to nine.

American Airlines has introduced two new daily nonstop flights from Phoenix to New York's John F. Kennedy Airport. The airline is now offering two daily nonstop flights on the route, using Boeing 757-200 aircraft. To celebrate the launch of the new route, the airline is offer introductory fares priced from USD79 each way, based on a round trip purchase.
