Images of debris from the Flash Airlines aircraft which crashed into the Red Sea off Egypt on 3 January 2004 are currently being relayed from the sea floor by a French mini submarine.
The aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Sharm el-Shiek, bound for Paris, France via Cairo. Radar images showed that the aircraft turned left as normal after takeoff, then suddenly straightened out and turned right before crashing into the sea, one minute after its left turn. All 148 people on board were killed, including 134 French tourists.
French teams are working with a Scorpio 2000 submarine as well as another small French submarine, Super Achille, however so far the flight recorders have not been spotted.
