Strike action by airport staff in Paris, France yesterday (22 January) caused only minor flight delays at the city's main airport, Charles de Gaulle.

The Paris airport authority said that about one-fifth of its 8,100 employees took part in the strike, which was called to protest against the government's economic reforms and plans to sell shares in the airport authority.

Medical workers across France held a separate protest on the same day over hospital staff shortages, reorganisation plans and funding concerns.
