The main part of fuselage from the Georgian Express aircraft that crashed into Lake Erie on 17 January 2004 has been located.
The aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from a Canadian island in to Lake Erie. The pilot of the aircraft, which was carrying at least nine people, is said to have radioed a frantic call for help shortly after takeoff, but air traffic controllers then lost contact with the Cessna 208 Caravan aircraft.
The crew of a Canadian Coast Guard ship located the main part of the fuselage using sonar devices. Crew members are now working to determine the best way to proceed with recovery.
