Man detained on Northwest Airlines flight after attempting to enter cockpit

A 31-year-old man was arrested during a Northwest Airlines flight on 1 January 2004 after he allegedly attempted to enter the cockpit.
The man was subdued by a female flight attendant and two off-duty Northwest Airlines employees aboard the flight, which was en route to Honolulu, Hawaii from Detroit, US.
The flight landed safely at Honolulu International Airport, where the man was arrested by state deputy sheriffs, according to The Associated Press.
