Kuwaiti security officials have reportedly played down reports that security at Kuwait International Airport was lax after a British journalist smuggled a knife on board a British Airways flight.
Officials said that the incident was a one-off and that the officials on duty would be identified and disciplinary measures taken.
A journalist from the UK's The Sun newspaper allegedly smuggled the hunting knife through two X-ray checks before taking his seat on the aircraft with the knife in his hand luggage, reports Reuters.
