Aircraft engineering company Aviation Partners Boeing (APB) has announced that it is seeking a launch partner for its new wing tip device designed for Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.

The company said that it is in discussions with airlines over the introduction of Blended Winglets for Boeing 767 aircraft after the technology for Boeing 757 aircraft was certified and expected to be in service by mid-2005.

APB claims that Blended Winglets are 80% more effective than conventional angular winglet systems.
