Denmark's Copenhagen Airport reportedly reached a new record number of passengers during the last weekend as a total of 150,000 travellers passed through the airport.

The passengers were mainly charter tourists, while an additional 14,000 passengers travelling to and from luxury cruise liners at Copenhagen Harbour made the weekend unusually busy for the airport.

The record number was due to the summer holiday rush, reported the online edition of Danish newspaper The Copenhagen Post.
