Emirates orders Boeing 777-300ER aircraft

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
US aircraft manufacturer Boeing has announced that Dubai-based airline Emirates has placed an order for USD2.96bn worth of aircraft.
Emirates has ordered 13 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, with four on firm order and the rest covered by a purchase rights agreement valid until 2012.
The four firm order aircraft will be delivered to the airline by 2006 and will allow Emirates to extend its services to key European and Asian cities.
