AirTran Airways has announced that it is to take up its option to buy two new Boeing 737-700 aircraft.

The move comes after the airline accepted the first of 100 Boeing 737-700 aircraft in June 2004. The two new aircraft will be delivered in the first quarter of 2006.

A spokesperson for AirTran said that its relationship with Boeing has allowed it to maintain a world-class fleet and increase the range of services offered to its customers.
