AirTran Airways has taken delivery of its first Next-Generation 737 aircraft from aircraft manufacturer Boeing.
The airline celebrated the delivery with an aircraft "pull for charity" event at Seattle's Museum of Flight. The event featured 20 young people from the Atlanta-based CHRIS Kids, who pulled the new 737-700 aircraft 65 feet without mechanical assistance.
The airline will use the aircraft to replace some contract carrier services and eventually provide transcontinental service.
