A biplane landing at an airfield in Upper Austria reportedly drifted off the runway, killing a cyclist.

The aircraft was landing at the airstrip at Suben, 190 kilometres west of Vienna, when it suddenly drifted off the main runway and onto the grassy area toward the perimeter. The aircraft reportedly hit a member of the local aviation club who was riding a bicycle to the other end of the airfield to fetch a wind sock.

The 67-year-old died of head injuries caused by the aircraft's propeller. Police are currently investigating the accident, according to The Associated Press.
