A letter in which Orville Wright expresses disappointment over the Smithsonian Institute's failure to display the 1903 aircraft he built with his brother is to be auctioned.

Wright was 54 when he wrote the letter in 1925 to George Kunz, president of the New York Museum of the Peaceful Arts, apparently one of the many institutions seeking to display the aircraft.

The letter came from an unnamed collector of aviation material in Ohio, and carries a minimum bid of USD2,000, reported The Associated Press.
