Finnair to purchase Embraer aircraft

Finnair has announced plans to purchase 12 aircraft from Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer.
The new 76-seat Embraer 170 jet aircraft - which will cost approximately USD320m - will be used to replace the carrier's aging McDonnell Douglas MD-82, MD-83, and ATR 72 turboprop aircraft.
Deliveries of the new aircraft are scheduled to take place between September 2005 and May 2007, The Associated Press reported.
