Russian carrier Aeroflot has stated that it would be easy to introduce e-tickets if outdated tax laws were removed.

Airlines around the world are moving to replace paper tickets with electronic tickets by the end of 2007, however Russia could be left behind because of a bureaucratic requirement that is said to be out of sync with 21st-century travel.

Russian tax authorities do not accept e-tickets as regulations require a paper coupon as proof of payment, reported The Associated Press.
