European airlines are said to have stopped discriminating by charging different fares based on the customer's country of residence.
The European Commission launched an investigation into the ticket pricing policy of 18 airlines in December 2003 after receiving complaints from customers who paid as much as 300% more for the same ticket bought on the Internet due to national residence.
However, the European Commission has now stated that the airlines - including Air France, Lufthansa, Alitalia, KLM, bmi, Virgin Atlantic, Aer Lingus, Iberia and Austrian Airlines - have stopped the practice, reported Reuters.
